I’M THE QUIET ONE.

I STARTED MY CAREER AS A DESIGNER IN A BOUTIQUE SHOP PRODUCING AWARD WINNING WORK THAT GOT ME INTO LEO BURNETT AND A DREAM JOB FOR 25+ YEARS. DURING A TEN YEAR STRETCH I OVERSAW AND DIRECTED THE CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND ALL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE MARLBORO TEAM PENSKE RACING ACCOUNT, WHICH IS WHEN MY PASSION FOR AUTOMOTIVE PHOTOGRAPHY STARTED. THROUGHOUT MY TIME AT BURNETT I ALSO DIRECTED NUMEROUS MARLBORO COWBOY LOCATION SHOOTS, HONING MY SKILLS AS AN ART DIRECTOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER. MANY OF MY OWN IMAGES CAPTURED ON TRACK OR OUT WEST RAN IN ADS OR ON BILLBOARDS AROUND THE WORLD. I WAS EVENTUALLY TRUSTED BY OUR CLIENT TO DO MY OWN SHOOTS WHERE I USED MY SKILLS AS A DESIGNER AND ART DIRECTOR TO DOCUMENT ARTFUL, PHOTOGRAPHIC MOMENTS OF MEN AND MACHINES.

THIS PRICELESS CREATIVE TRAINING IS MY WEAPON OF CHOICE ON EVERY NEW PROJECT WE START.

I’M THE LOUD ONE.

Only 5’ tall my weapon of choice is my big personality. Dan may possess more of the creative firepower but I have the people skills and production chops to keep us focused on delivering quality results in a timely manner. Originally from Devon, England I was raised to stick up for myself, get things done and not take any shit from my three brothers. This take charge spirit compelled me to move to California at 21 for a job and a new life. Eventually, after meeting Dan I moved to Chicago and became a production coordinator at dmb&b, working on various brands. My experiences while assisting on various photo shoots during this time period gave me valuable knowledge on how to and how not to run a production.

My organizational talent mixed with dan’s creative abilities make us a complete package.

Collaboration is key to making our time together successful. Getting the timing, location and a rough shot list locked down is essential so that everything fires on all cylinders come shoot day.

While we like a plan, we love the “happy accidents” that occur when you mix location, weather, unscripted ideas and tension, the dynamic tension necessary to form an emotional connection between the subject matter - either human or sheet metal, and our camera lens. The reward is an artful moment in time, not just a picture.
